Checking in from New Zealand
Hi Cousins; This is a fun idea for a web site with Grandma and Grandpa Crookston as our focus. I loved seeing the biography of the Harlines and all the great pictures. Thank you! I would love to hear memories of yours of Emeline and Byron. My last memory of Grandma Emeline was sweet for me. In 1975 after I graduated from High School I was going up to Bear Lake to stay for a couple of days with a girlfriend or two. We stopped in Logan to say hi to Grandma and Grandpa on the way up. They were both working in their wonderful garden. It was about noon and was so hot. She had been in the garden all morning long and was so hot and I thought exhausted. It was the first time I thought that she looked older. It was apparent to me that she was so happy we stopped by. She immediately wanted to get us something to drink and to fill our car with anything that we would take from her garden. I was so proud to share my dear grandma with my friend. I thought about how she really was older and working so hard but always loved her posterity so much. Her garden was to share with others, all the flowers, vegetables, berries etc. I have been grateful for her great example. I will check in another time with a memory of Grandpa Crookston. You can check out our blog to hear about us. http://www.momanddadlangford.blogspot.com Love and Cheers, Miriam Langford
